Good Morning, Friends!

So hard to believe we are halfway through August and Fall is approaching!! While I do love watching our lovely green trees turn numerous shades of yellows, oranges, and reds away from summer… I am a SUMMER BABY and I don’t like it “leafing” (hahaha).

Now that we’ve been at the Tumwater Craft District a year and a half, I am FINALLY in a groove (and tomorrow that will change because that's what small businesses do!). I am so enjoying making the small, cute animals. It’s fun hearing comments on our creations, it makes my heart and soul full of joy to be doing what I was created to do– PLAY WITH CLAY!!

I discovered clay by accident when a counselor asked me to remember what my favorite childhood toy was. Before she even finished her sentence, I thought of playing out in the yard. Specifically playing with dirt and whatever I could get my hands on. I could do that FOREVER!!! And in that discovery, playdough. Whenever I say or think about playdough, I feel like I can smell it! My favorite smell! Oooh, I should bottle up the smell and sell it… or maybe not(hahaha)! What’s your favorite childhood activity?? Give yourself permission to play and rediscover joy!
